Turquoise Panther was born from listening—really listening—to the women I love most. As a father of four daughters, I heard their frustrations repeatedly: mainstream beauty products simply weren't designed for their skin. They struggled to find skincare that addressed hyperpigmentation and dark spots, which appear more prominently and persist longer on melanin-rich skin. They lamented how many moisturizers left their skin looking ashy —a condition far more visible on Black skin despite being overlooked by major beauty brands. Time after time, they returned from shopping trips disappointed, carrying products formulated for lighter skin tones that either didn't work or, worse, caused additional problems.

Their experiences weren't unique. I discovered that approximately 65% of African Americans experience post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, yet finding effective treatments remains unnecessarily difficult. I realized there was a significant gap in the market—not just for products, but for a brand that genuinely understood and prioritized the specific needs of Black skin
